Hi,

Sorry, I like to put details, even those not directly related to the problem.

1) the DB get corrupted. Don't know how. Tags were mixed : title from one song, artist from another completely different, and so on.
2) decided to restart from scratch : I removed all amarok related configuration file in ~/.kde/...
3) restart Amarok and configure my collection path
4) first time : scanning began automatically / second time (after the first crash) : I had to begin the scan manually / but with the same result : crash after few %

Good luck with this one ! It seems a lot of people have similar problems. Should help, no ?
