Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux Emails is not stored nor send because the Local Folders has lost its configuration. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: - Launch Kmail - Click on 'New' button - Fill in the recipient, subject and enter a few words in the text editor - Click on the 'Send' button Actual Results: Nothing happens: the email is not move to any folders (outbox, sent-mail...) nor received by the recipient whereas this should not happen. Trunk, Svn Rev 1129798 Expected Results: The email should be moved to the outbox and then stored in the sent-mail folder once sent. The recipient should receive the email. - Go to Settings menu/Configure Kmail - Click on 'Accounts' - Select 'Local Folders' (its status is not Ready as it should) - Click on 'Remove' - A new Local Folders appears With this one it is at least possible to send and receive emails but the sent mail is not store anywhere at the moment. I am setting this bug as High priority since everyday before testing I have to spend time doing that to get the emails working again. Trunk, Svn Rev 1129798
i can't reproduce this. 1. Make sure kmail is closed 2. Stop Akonadi 3. Stat Akonadi and Kmail 4. Check the Local Folders .. and it appears "Ready" Can you provide more detail?
I haven't found a way to reproduce this yet, seems to happen randomly. I'll try to find a pattern next time it happens.
SVN commit r1133928 might have improved the behaviour of this bug, testing appreciated. I still can't reproduce.
Closing as this should be fixed now with the recent specialcollections work. Please reopen if the bug still happens for you.
It should have been corrected now. I retested this today and the sent emails are correctly sent to the outbox and then to the selected folder (ex: templates) to be stored (see bug #243613 for not being able to store them in the sent-mail folder). The emails are also properly received by the recipient now. I have not seen this bug for a while now so I am verifying it. Trunk, Svn Rev 1145265
