Version: 1.0.0beta5 (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The only thing which prevents digikam from being the #1 picture manager available on a PC or Mac is that I can't reorder pictures for slideshows. Currently the only way to order pictures in digikam is by date or EXIF number. This is not adequate for putting on slideshows for friends or family; I need to be able to reorder pictures freely using either arrow keys or drag & drop (the latter is preferable, but the former would be OK). If you are doing a slideshow with hundreds of pictures, ordering them by renaming the files is insurmountably painful. Digikam is already superior to both iPhoto and Microsoft Photo Gallery in most ways. If you could implement this feature, it would be superior to them in *all* ways, which would be a nice thing to crow about. Thanks! P.S. Digikam 1.0 certainly is very nice, and its import/export functionality is unbeaten by any other photo program I've tried. Good job!
Version is 1.0.0beta5. As previously reported, bugzilla is not saving version information.
Bugzilla is buggy? ;) About ordering. What would be really cool: If you could save an order. Kind of like a presentation. So you could have different orders defined on the same group of images.
Do you try Advanced Slideshow plugin ? Update digiKam and kipi-plugins to 1.2.0 Gilles Caulier
I support that opinion, in a bit extended way: I would like to be able to reorder photos for further export. As said before, this option is available in most cheap and simple programs, and is very useful. Presently I have to do it after exporting photos to Picasa. Thank you for your time.
Josh, It stil valid using kipi-plugins 2.4 ? Gilles Caulier
Current implementation from git/master permit to re-order image playlist (you can save/restore it also) Gilles Caulier
