Version: 1.13.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-22-generic I have a contact that only uses his email address, aaaa@bbbb.nl, without specifying his name. As I want to choose this contact by name, I added him to my address book using "right click -> Add to Address Book". The right-click was on his email address in the "From" header of an email he sent. I got a choice in which address book to store, I chose "Personal Contacts", which was the only choice. I then right-clicked and chose "Open in address book". I filled out his full name, and clicked Ok. When composing a new message I would expect this address book entry to show up when I start typing his name. However, this didn't happen. Only when I started typing his email address did a nameless contact show up. Clicking the "Select..." button also doesn't show his name, just his email address. Expected behaviour: the contact is used with the same information I just entered. Observed behaviour: the contact is not used. I restarted KMail, but that didn't help. When clicking on "Select..." in the composer window, I got the "Select Recipient" window. This window gives me the choice of the following address books: - Default Address Book - Distribution Lists - Recent Addresses - Selected Recipients However, neither of these are the "Personal Contacts" that was my only choice earlier. To be 100% sure the contact was correctly added and edited, I right-clicked on his email address in an email he sent, and selected "Open in Address Book". His information is then shown as I typed it, including his full name.
