Version: (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.4 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources kdebase is rev. 1129428 It is impossible to set widget style in System Settings. There is a preview of the style, but clicking "Apply" has no effect. The widget style always remains the default, that is, Plastique.
Had this problem too recently, the cause seemed to be an obsolete entry in ~/.config/Trolltech.conf: style=oxygen If a 'style=' line exists in this file, does removing it fix the problem?
OK, after removing that line I can set styles, but I need to restart all programs to apply it. So there's probably something else broken, too.
Do you still have this problem with a recent KDE version (4.6.3 or later)? Can you check if the same issue is visible when you log into a freshly added user account?
The current state is the same as after applying that fix in ~/.config/Trolltech.conf. I can set styles, but I need to restart all apps to apply the change. That's basically still a regression, but you may also call it a feature ;-)
