Version: (using KDE 4.4.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I created an email containing a long URL from Amazon. This URL contained a "-" somewhere and kmail used this position to insert a newline. But this happened after I sent the email. Example: http://www.verylong.url/containing-something_for_auto_word_wrap.html Result in Email after sending: http://www.verylong.url/containing- something_for_auto_word_wrap.html The problem is that you cannot click the link because the second line is not included in the link. Also the receiver has a problem. Please don't wrap those URLs.

possible CAUSE: automatically word wrap of kmail WORKAROUND: deactivate "Word wrap at column" at Options/Composer Page/General
(In reply to comment #2) > possible CAUSE: automatically word wrap of kmail > > WORKAROUND: deactivate "Word wrap at column" at Options/Composer Page/General I have the same problem as the bug's author. Indeed I have word wrapping enabled but it should only work for long lines, not for very long words that are mainly URLs. Lines must not be too long for better reading. But URLs must not be splitted in order to allow clicks on the to open the right page. Only opening http://www.verylong.url/containing- instead of http://www.verylong.url/containing-something_for_auto_word_wrap.html is not the way to go.
I can confirm that this is a valid report as of User-Agent: KMail/4.9.3 (Linux/3.5.0-gentoo; KDE/4.9.3; x86_64; ; ). An example of how such a message looks like is http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2012-November/008189.html .

Since review 108254 was indeed committed, I think this one can be RESOLVED. Right?
no response. I'm resolving then. reopen as needed.
