Description Christian Esken 2010-05-14 13:15:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

When using the search dialog with an IMAP folder, KMail warns in some cases that the messages need to be downloaded (e.g. I have been searching for messages containing attachments).

The issue is, that KMail shows not only one warning, but one warning per folder. For me that means that 57 warning messages are popping up (see the window title containing a <57> in the topmost popup).

That behavior is not user friendly. In other words it is inconvenient and irritating.

Extra hint: I do not want to disable the warning, as I don't want to download all the messages.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
