Version: (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Dolphin (and Konqueror) crashes, when a not available NFS folder is in the current directory. Dolphin´s preview function tries to open the (not existing) folder an all actions are stopped. In KDE3 a error message "folder not available" occurs. The NFS4 folder is mounted from a server via autofs and automounter to the home directory. When the server is not available, Dolphin is not usable.
Nearly one year later and no result? The "not existing timeout" function regards all file handling programs in KDE4, not only Dolphin. KDE4 is therefore not usable! (Here Debian stable with kde 4.5)
Thank you for the crash report. As it has been a while since this was reported, can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I have set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved/worksforme" when you respond, thank you.
I am not using the automounter function anymore. So I can't test it. The manual mount works fine in Dolphin without crash
