Description Richard Hartmann 2010-05-11 17:43:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Rationale can be found at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=237155

I will copy links from the other wishlist items to this one.

Keep track of all podcasts I have ever copied to a given media player. I
want to listen to a podcast once and then remove it from my player. Currently, I need to remeber everything or keep a text file.
Comment 2 Sven Krohlas 2010-05-11 21:02:24 UTC
Will only be possible for devices that keep listening statistics.
Comment 3 Richard Hartmann 2010-05-11 23:48:48 UTC
Keeping track of what I _listened_ to is even better.

But the initial request, which works with all media players, is to keep track of what was on said media player.

If I delete the podcasts from my media player, I am finished with them or I did not like them. If they are still on the player, I still want to keep them.
In either case, keeping track of what was copied onto the players at some point would allow me only to copy new stuff.

I think this is just the same as bug 237262, but for podcasts. We are willing to support any players that can report play counts somehow (iPods are already supported in this regard), but see my comments on bug 237262 for keeping track of files copied to players.
