Description hanzy6 2010-05-10 21:25:41 UTC
Version: 4.4.2 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

in the previous version of Kontact (4.3.2), it was possible to add a contact in the address book and change to the mail window/tab by clicking on the appropriate icon(I have "focus follows mouse"). In that window I could mark parts of emails and copy them into my dialog window with the new contact (which was still in front of the email window but without focus). This proved very useful, because I got almost all of my contacts by email. now (Kontact 4.4.2) I can't mark anything any more in emails while a dialogue with a new contact is opened.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
