Version: 3.97.2 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Hi, Create a new file and do the minimum necessary to set up a mutual investment and corresponding security. I cannot use the "Reinvest dividend" entry in the ledger. The Enter button never becomes usable - it's always greyed out. Unless I'm missing something (I've had a look at the docs but didn't find anything about this) I should be able to "enter" it as soon as I put in a valid security and number of shares. I do this (and tried entering other things, too), but it doesn't work. (FWIW, I'm jumping ship from eqonomize, as that project appears to have died. An import filter would be wonderful (just suggesting). Exporting to QIF and trying to import in KMymoney generates some problem with an extraneous account that can't be deleted even after moving all transactions out. I had to go via GnuCash.) Peace, Brendon
Please check whether the opening date of the account is after the transaction you are trying to enter. The date being in a different color should give a clue if that's the problem.
Make sure you enter an income category in the field labeled Interest.
Oh I see. Sorry, having to enter an Interest category wasn't obvious to me. Somehow I thought that field was optional, and for an account. If it was clearer that that field is a category I probably would've figured it out myself. At least my parenthetical remark is still valid. :-) Thanks, Brendon
