(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: keditbookmarks Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.1.0 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 7.2 (unsupported) Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 19991030 (prerelease) OS: Linux 2.2.17-21mdk i686 OS/Compiler notes: Really like the "sort by alphabetical order" feature of the bookmark editor. I think it might be worth considering having an option to switch on automatic alphabetical sorting so that new bookmarks get added in alphabetical order automatically. I've read some of the other bugs on this subject and not everyone wants it but it would be useful for me at any rate. An alternative - less dogmatic but takes up more screen space - would be to have a "sort alphabetically" option on the bookmark menus. Or maybe the best long term solution is to have right click menus for bookmarks with options like this here? This would mean integrating some KEDitBookmarks functionality into Konqueror. Just the thoughts of a user. David (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

addition of sort alphabetically to a context menu kind of removes the point in having keditbookmarks and would add a large chunk of not very commonly used code to konqueror. therefore, i feel that the better way of doing this is to follow what both you and report 14095 suggest and have automatic sorted placement of bookmarks on addition. actual initial sorting can be done in keditbookmarks.
