Version: 2.4.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-22-generic When in browse mode, Gwenview displays some thumbnails attached to folder icons. While this looks cute, it can also be a privacy issue, e.g., at presentations, since Gwenview shows images from folders that one does not want to present. Please add an configuration option to disable thumbnail previews for folders. (Because of the privacy implications this is submitted as "bug" instead of "wishlist".)
[from bug 230293] Gwenview 4.4.1 introduces a display of <= 4 thumbnails on the folder icon in the folder list. This is a distraction, which makes it more difficult to select a folder. There should be a configuration option to suppress these thumbnails. It would also be better for those who want such thumbnails to allow them to choose one which represents for them the content of the folder. Both of these changes should not be difficult to program.

I am not pretty sure but Bug 173850 looks a lot similar to me

Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
I believe I did find these thumbnails distracting at first, but got used to them long ago, so have no problem today. Someone else mentioned privacy, but that doesn't affect me. By all means, close it.
Thanks for the update!
Except that he isn't the bug submitter. But yes, it's no longer an issue for me.
