Description Salvo "LtWorf" Tomaselli 2010-05-06 15:24:52 UTC
Version: 1.13.3 (using 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32.12-proserpina

The option always encrypt with this key is ignored for me.
I have unchecked the "always show keys for approval".

Can you do something about it?

You encrypt with the public key of the receiver and sign with your private key.
The receiver decrypts with his private key and checks signature with your public key. --> KAddressBook > Edit Contacts... > Crypto Settings

Thank you, i already know how does pgp work.
Tried also in manually setting the key in the addressbook (so boring doing that for everyone) but it's the same.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
