I found the resolution in a duplicated bug - sorry for the disturbance: The Facebook plugin is now unmaintained. Use the XMPP plugin with this data: http://www.facebook.com/sitetour/chat.php Regards
sorry again - I was too fast - it is not crashing now but still does not connect. the xml-console of the jabber-account says: <stream:error> <unsupported-version xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams"/> <text xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams" xml:lang="">XMPP 1.0 is required</text> </stream:error>
follow this configuration steps: http://maketecheasier.com/configure-kopete-to-use-facebooks-new-xmpp-chat/2010/02/15 and DON´T follo the configuration steps here: http://www.facebook.com/sitetour/chat.php if you enter as server chat.phptomtomme@chat.facebook.com it won´t work - just leave all checkboxes on "Connection preferences" unchecked!

From above backtrace I see that kopete crashing in unofficial and now obsolated kopete_facebook plugin. Becasue that plugin is obsolated by jabber, closing as wontfix.
