Description Sascha Peilicke 2010-05-04 12:46:23 UTC
Version: SVN r1120032 (using Devel)
Compiler: GCC 4.4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

It is downloading all mails from an IMAP account. This seriously slows down the IMAP resource and takes a considerable amount of RAM and CPU time. This may be related to the big amount (1.1G) of mail stored in the IMAP account.

Steps to reproduce:

* Add a new IMAP resource for a huge IMAP account
* Use Akonadi Console to inspect it.

Expected behavior:

* Only mail headers should be downloaded
Comment 1 Sascha Peilicke 2010-05-04 12:47:46 UTC
Like stated in the summary, IMAP disconnected mode is _not_ set.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
