Description John Burbridge 2010-05-03 19:46:21 UTC
Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-21-generic

After upgrading to to Ubuntu 10.04, launching an RDP session to my windows host works fine in tabbed / windowed mode, but when switching to full screen none of the keys seem to respond (alt, esc, ctrl, arrow keys, etc). The mouse still works fine, so I can click on the icon to go back to windowed mode, which then allows me to use the keyboard again.

I also am having this problem. KDE 4.4.2 kubuntu 10.04

kdrc does allow any keyboard input in full screen, only mouse. non full screen allows keyboard input.

I don't know if this needs to be a separate bug, but capslock also does not look in either screen mode. holding shift works however.

Can you reproduce this issue always?
Comment 4 John Burbridge 2010-05-13 21:30:34 UTC
Not all the time - it was happening pretty consistently right after upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04, but now it happens once in a blue moon. In fact, it hasn't happened at all today after upgrading to version 4.4.2.

I can come back and post more details when / if it happens again if that helps?
Comment 5 Urs Wolfer 2010-05-13 22:57:56 UTC
John, yes, please post any news here. Thank you.

I have the similar issue, I am running Ubuntu 10.04, KDE RPD session works fine for some time then keyboard won't function properly. When I type nothing happens some time. I am looking for the solution too.
Comment 7 Urs Wolfer 2010-11-08 21:56:55 UTC
Can you always reproduce this issue in fullscreen-mode (and *just* fullscreen mode)?

Only RDP or also VNC?
Comment 8 bailunrui 2011-08-25 18:45:59 UTC
I began having this problem when I upgraded to Natty. Anyone find a way to resolve it?
Comment 9 swacker 2012-03-12 14:02:11 UTC
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and krdc 4.4.5.
I have the same problem, but it seems that I found a workaround. When you are in fullscreen you can press "minimize fullscreen window" (I use the german version, and don't know how it is called in the english version) and then klick on the button in panel to maximize it again. Then the keyboard works again until you go to the window mode.
