Version: 1.4 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-21-generic In Konqueror hitting the KDE logo duplicated the Konqueror Instance. This way it was very easy to have multiple instances with the same setting and filesystem locations on the desktop. In most cases, if you want to move or copy files from point A to point B in the filesystem those two points are not far away from each other. My usemodel therefore was this: - open new Konq. Instance in $HOME - browse to the "from" location - hit KDE button -> Konq duplicates at same location - use other Konq to browse to the "to" location that is in most cases near the "from" location - drag-n-drop files between those two locations. This can also be done with more than two instances. In Dolphin the "KDE" button inactive now, it does not duplicate Dolphin as Konq did :( Please provide similar function in the cutomization dialogs, or best case, let the KDE-Logo button behave the same as in Konqueror. Thanks Christian
F3 ?
You could also add the "New Window" action to the toolbar. Is this sufficient for your usecase?
Thanks for the hints. F3 splits the window.. how can I have 3..5 windows that way ? New Window starts from the home-location in the Filesystem. ... not really :(
Assuming "New Window" will start with the current location: Would it be fixed then for you?
Yes, absolutely !
Then this bug and Bug 236700 can go together I guess?
