Description Diederik van der Boor 2010-05-02 20:26:24 UTC
Version: 3.6 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop

In KMix, the OSD is shown with a delay when the scrollwheel is used at the trayicon.
in Amarok, the OSD is immediately shown when changing the volume with the scrollwheel.

This always felt a bit awkward and inconsistent to me. I actually like the Amarok approach, because it gives more direct feedback. Could you show the OSD immediately too in KMix?

Looks like this isn't really possible with the current API, at least under Plasma.

Behavior is consistent with the rest of the tray icons. Thus I will not change it (besides that it is not really possible).
