Hello,

as the description says, i cannot access my adressbook contact from kmail. kmail only shows me contacts to which i have previously sent a mail. i checked all the available adress books from the "select recipient" window. the contacts were imported by me from a vCard file and show up fine in the contacts panel (see screenshots). where can i check why kontact does not find my contacts.

thanks in advance,
cheers,
andy

I can confirm this behaviour.
KDE 4.4.4, Kmail vers 1.13.5 on OpenSUSE 11.3.

Also, addresses of those that I've sent mail to, are added to an addressbook but not to the Contacts address book. Kmail doesn't seem to know the Contacts addressbook exists

This is a duplicate of #231594.
The fix is system settings

<quote>
To be clear, this is what I did.
- System Settings -> Advanced -> KDE Resources (Contacts)
- Click "Add ..."
- Select "Akonadi Address Books ..." and follow prompts
- Back at Contacts, select new A/B
- Click "Use as Standard"
</quote>

This works for me
