Version: 2.0.85 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.33-gentoo-r1 Right now, it is tricky to have multiple projects opened with the same bibtex file. One must create separately the projects, include the bibtex, then open all the projects manually. What is not possible: - create and open all the project, create (or open) a bibtex file, include the bibtex in each of the project (only one project is possible) - when kile is opening, all the previous project are loaded, each of them with the bibtex file (right now, only one project is loaded with the bibtex, to have the bibtex, the other projects must be closed and reoppened)
Am I understanding point one correctly that you want to have a possibility to add a file to *all* open projects? I don't really understand your second point: what you describe there is already possible now?
About the first point, all open projects is interesting, but several is more interesting (I'm thinking of the possibility once the bibtex is included in a project of including it into another project). About the second point, you are right, what I described is what is possible right now (sorry, I could have been clearer on this...)
The ability to share bibtex files between project seems important to me. Adding a .bib file to a project, and then to another will remove it from the first project. (Both being open at the same time).
(In reply to comment #3) > The ability to share bibtex files between project seems important to me. Adding > a .bib file to a project, and then to another will remove it from the first > project. (Both being open at the same time). Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this problem with Kile 2.1 beta 5. In the "Files and Projects" view I right-click on the first project, select "Add Files...", add the BibTeX file, and then do the same for the second project. After that the same BibTeX file is part of the two projects. How did you try to add the file to the different projects?
