Description anton 2010-04-26 23:44:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

On this site konqueror starts to generate too many kio_http processes and eats memory endlessly until I close the tab.

The former doesn't happen any more (it can't in trunk), but the latter still does. Seems like we're requesting some flash thing a lot.

here is another problematic page - symptoms look similar, but not sure if the problems is the same:

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
