Description m.wege 2010-04-26 14:45:38 UTC
Version: 4.4.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-21-generic

I am not sure if this is a Kaddressbook or a Kmail problem. Please reassign, if necessary.
When I click on the emailaddress of a contact in Kaddressbook in order to write an email, the resulting preffilled "To"-field in Kmail has problems with German umlauts and accents like é.

It looks like
"Horst Mller" <mail@domain.de>
instead of
"Horst Müller" <mail@domain.de>

Reproduced on kde 4.4.2 here too
Comment 2 Nicolas L. 2010-04-26 15:29:34 UTC
btw i tested in kde 4.3.5 and it works.
Comment 3 Nicolas L. 2010-04-26 17:46:30 UTC
not a kmail issue because if Thunderbird is my default mailer i still see the bug.

I will try to fix the issue
Comment 4 Thomas McGuire 2010-04-27 11:39:19 UTC
Already fixed, but not yet backported, Nicolas wants to do that soon if possible.
