Description Ciprian Ciubotariu 2010-04-26 14:29:04 UTC
Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.5
KDE Version: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-gentoo-r10 x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Apparently the way KMail manages IMAP mail leads to all sorts of trouble. Kontact crashes almost on every startup on one computer. A simple restart makes it work. On this computer, it started crashing today... without any special treatment. Start Kontact, go to Inbox... bang!

There's nothing related to KDE in this backtrace. Please upgrade KDE to 4.4.4 and try to reproduce this crash.

Please open a new bug report if you're able to reproduce this crash.
Comment 2 Ciprian Ciubotariu 2010-06-07 16:22:28 UTC
I am sorry but I cannot afford to play around with my systems since I use them in production. On the other hand, Gentoo only marks kde 4.3.5 as "stable" and only has 4.4.3 in its tree.
