Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages The message Could not find the program 'KAddressBook' will appear when trying to start KAddressBook from Korganizer. Steps: -start KOrganizer and look at the calendar for contact birthdays -double click on a birthday and a pop-up will appear with information about the event -click on the contact link inside the pop-up -notice the error message, when you would expect KAddressBook to start.
Are you sure that you have kaddressbook in your system ? Regards
SVN commit 1122444 by mlaurent: Fix bug #235353 In new kaddressbook we can't call "kaddressbook --editor-only --uid" We don't have this option now. I think it will a good idea to readd it for trunk. For the moment to avoid a messagebox I open just kaddressbook, not very good CCMAIL: tokoe@kde.org CCBUG: 235353 M +3 -0 urihandler.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1122444
Ok it's a problem with new kaddressbook which doesn't have option to edit contact. For the moment I put a workaround until kaddressbook will fix. Regards
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
