Description Degand Nicolas 2010-04-21 20:13:45 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-4-amd64

I have two displays

- My main monitor (1280x1024 max) on DVI-0

- My TV (1920x1080 max) on DVI-1

If my TV is unplugged, my monitor is automatically properly configured at 1280x1024

The default setup I want is

- Main monitor at 1280x1024
- TV turned off (I only turn it on when I want to watch a video)

When I use systemsettings to make this set up it works. However, it does not seem to be properly saved between sessions.

When I log in again (TV plugged), kdm is displayed in 640x480 (the only resolution shared between my monitor and my TV) on my monitor and TV output is turned off (which is what I expected). I have to go to systemsettings after log in to explicitly set 1280x1024.
