(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konqueror Version: 2.1 (using KDE 2.1.0 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: Red Hat Linux Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release) OS: Linux 2.2.17-8smp i686 OS/Compiler notes: I'd like to be able to customize the width of scrollbars. As I get older I want bigger fonts and widgets that are easier to see and manipulate. Sometimes it seems like these scrollbars are so narrow I have to be more exact with mouse placement than I'd like. Thanks (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

One of things that bothers me about KDE is the fact that widgets (in the original sense of the term as things in a windows the user clicks on) are a fixed size. They should not be tied to the user's font size either. If nothing else, this would help with Fitt's law, since the objects the user wants to click are right there and easy to reach.
Fixed in r937603 for scrollbar size. Regarding comment #3 for general reachability, qtconfig allows setting a global strut. bug #159055 is not really a duplicate, it asks for scroll bars that extent to the screen edge. This has to be fixed in individual applications, as it is possible with oxygen to have scrollbars on maximized windows that extent to the screen edge.
