Description Lorenz Röhrl 2010-04-19 18:51:00 UTC
Version: 2.3-GIT (using KDE 4.4.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When a track change happens (automatic or manual skip) the moodbar still displays the moodbar of the previous song.

Changing the moodbar-style in the options menu makes amarok display the correct moodbar immediately.

I didn't test, if this behaviour is also happening with the slim toolbar.
Comment 1 EssL 2010-05-22 21:35:29 UTC
In my case it shows some previous song, not the 'one before'.
And yes, changing style updates it, disabling-enabling moodbar doesn't.

Happens with slimbar too
Comment 3 EssL 2010-06-13 00:50:01 UTC
Seems like in the git version it have been fixed?
Can't recreate...

Nice :) Closing for now, feel free to reopen the bug if you can reproduce it with current git or Amarok 2.3.2 once released.
Comment 5 Lorenz Röhrl 2010-08-29 12:46:43 UTC
This bug is still there - however it only happens when you change song manually in the playlist.

On automatic trackchanges, the correct moodbar is displayed.
Using git from yesterday.

I can confirm this bug as well, using the git from 10-08-30. To reproduce this, do following steps.

1. Add music to your playlist
2. play a track, so it shows the moodbar
3. erase the playlist and refill it with other music
4. play it as well and change the track

First track in the new playlist is displayed correctly, but it will get stuck, when changing track
Comment 7 Myriam Schweingruber 2010-09-03 01:21:29 UTC
Confirmed by comment #6
Comment 8 harlequix 2010-12-18 11:44:46 UTC
apparently fixed in git 20101216

Thank you for your feedback.
Comment 10 Lorenz Röhrl 2011-01-10 18:54:43 UTC
This is not fixed. I'm using git from 20110107 and the problem ist still there.
Comment 11 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-01-10 19:55:22 UTC
Confirmed with current 2.4-git build of 20110109. It only happens on manual track change.

*** Bug 263457 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 13 harlequix 2011-01-29 19:24:37 UTC
Ok it's partly fixed. The moodbar switches to the correct song when you hover over the progressbar with the cursor.
Comment 14 Lukas Middendorf 2011-02-17 23:14:20 UTC
In 2.3.2 this worked for me with the slim toolbar. The moodbar in the default toolbar style also only updated when hovering over it.

In 2.4.0 the moodbar only updates on mouseover with both toolbar styles.
Comment 15 Kevin Funk 2011-06-05 12:33:00 UTC
Lukas, did you check with current Git? Can't reproduce.
Comment 16 Lorenz Röhrl 2011-06-11 15:24:35 UTC
I still can reproduce this bug in current git (from today).

On a manual trackchange, i have to hover the progressbar in order to see the new mood-file.
Comment 17 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-13 10:34:51 UTC
I can't reproduce this here either, so something must be wrong somewhere. Where are your files located?
Comment 18 Lorenz Röhrl 2011-06-14 11:36:02 UTC
My files are on a local disk, which is permanently mounted via fstab.
Comment 19 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-16 14:11:18 UTC
Thank you for the feedback. Apparently this only happens on manual track change, not on automatic.
Comment 20 Ravi Arora 2012-03-07 18:58:56 UTC
This bug is fixed in latest GIT build.
Comment 21 Lorenz Röhrl 2012-03-07 19:38:33 UTC
I just compiled amarok from git: This bug is not fixed in git for me.

Comment 13 is still valid.
Comment 22 Mayank Madan 2012-11-30 11:51:19 UTC
its fixed in 2.6-git
Comment 23 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-11-30 12:05:27 UTC
This should already work in 2.6
