Version: 1.4 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Arch Linux) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.33-ARCH I think Dolphin will be more usable if tree view will have multiple roots, one for each attached device (and also for home, and /, and so on). It is already done this way in GNOME's Nautilus. See this screenshot for comparsion: http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4717/dolphinvsnautilus.png
Hell no! KDE should in no way do another horribly wrong thing, just because Windows does it! Mad Fish: Linux is NOT Windows. And that is the main argument why it is better. Having one root, and one tree, is at the core of the “everything is a file” idea. If you try to imitate Windows, then there’s no point left for why to switch. (Joe Sixpack does not give a shit about it being open source. He wants it to be less annoying. And Jake Hacker does not want the colorful clickable idiot interface of Windows anyway, as it’s unusable to people with brains.) So, as long as you don’t understand Linux, shut up please. Thanks. P.S.: I’m from a region of the world, where we don’t have a fit over some “bad words”. Words are just words. If you have a problem with them, that’s coming from *your* brain. So don’t assume I’m living in the same insanity. Thanks.
I'm against this wish too.
