Version: 1.0-svn3 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-21-generic I installed Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Beta 2. With Ubuntu Karmic Koala everything was well. When I start Kaffeine, I get that screen, informing me of a crash. Wether I symply close it or click the Button to restart the crashed program doesn't make a difference. The main Kaffeine Window seems to work normally. When i switch on TV, I get the current programm information and epg works. I just don't see a picture and hear no sound. The instant recording function works well, so that I can view the programm with a different viewer.

Hi Christoph, I'm not sure whether the original contributor ever resolved the issue. I have exactly the same problem after a fresh install following a replacement mother board. AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4000+, 1Gb mem Record works okay, but no live or playback. Xine works perfectly, but I prefer Kaffeine. This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it.
