Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Archlinux Packages Since KDE SC 4.4.2, I have a problem with the panel in plasma-netbook. The panel disappears with a little "slide-effect", when I open a program like dolphin or rekonq. It reappears, when the "systemmessage thing" (the notifier in systray, dunno what its name is) says something. The option "automatically fade out" (or what the correct translation is, my system is in german) is disabled, so the panel shouldn't disappear, but it does. This behaviour makes plasma-netbook unusable for me.
I'm affected too. I have a lot of issues with plasma-netbook since 4.4.2 SC update (panel disappear with auto-hide deactivated, when I try to use the auto-hide feature, it can be really slow to appear when my mouse cursor is on top).
I can observe this behaviour, too. In addition, being on a machine where no suitable OpenGL acceleration is possible, the panel takes about 5 seconds to reappear when moving the mouse to the top of the screen. Sometimes it just does not appear at all (estimate: 1 in 10 times).
Forgot to mention: 4.4.2 on Debian/experimental.
fixed in trunk and branch
