Description naraesk 2010-04-11 17:53:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Nepemuk should read pdf- metadata like "title" and "author" as it does with mp3 files.
Furthermore: If i click on a tag in dolphins info panel, a nepomuk search should be done for this tag and the query result should be displayed, of course.

Why is this still not working ?

I have a lot of pdf files with informations metadatas that i would be able to find using Dolphin Nepomuk/Strigi search bar (see pdf property snapshot below)

if I search "bulletin" which is the filename, it works but if I search "Salaire" which is a metadata key, it don't works... Why ?

I'm running Kde 4.4.5 in LinuxMint 9 with virtuoso-nepomuk 6.1.0

I'm not a Strigi/Nepomuk developer, but as a guess, you might need to attach an example PDF file for the developers to look at and test with, whenever they get around to this bug.

Are there any plans to implement this?

More of a Strigi issue, but I suppose we are the ones who will have to fix it.
