Description Sandeep 2010-04-10 06:18:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Add a quicklaunch widget to either the desktop or panel

By default there are 3 launchers in the widget - right click context menu gives you the options of "Add Launcher", "Remove this Launcher"

Remove all three launchers

Right click context menu loses the "Add Launcher" option as well.

this is extremely non-intuitive and gets the user confused about whether something went wrong in his desktop. The only way now to have a quick launch widget with a few launchers (that are not part of the default three launchers) is to FIRST ADD launchers and then REMOVE other launchers.

Most people follow the reasoning that one should remove everything and start from a clean slate - that doesnt work.

Drag and drop from K-Menu (openSUSE) works fine.

This is addressed by SVN commit r1121230. Removing all icons will cause a placeholder to appear. Icons can still be added using either the context menu or drag & drop.
