Binary package hint: kdebase

After Upgrade to Lucid I had servail problems with nepomuk desktop search. First there was a message, with information about driver conversion to new format: virtuoso --> redland . That conversion was never finshed. After that I searched for problem solutions and find that:
http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi_4.4/Troubleshooting#Troubleshooting_Tips
I could fix some errors I had, but there are errors left, you can see in the akonadi bug report:

For now I am able to see my 'old' addressbook currectly but not to start nepomuk file indexer automaticly at start up or find files, that would alrady been indexed.

What can I do?

P.S. I have more Akonadi Bug reports saved witch I made as I got the error with the driver conversion. I can send them too, if they can help.
Please let me know and thanks for your help!

Hej,

what does the command
  qdbus org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukqueryservice /nepomukqueryservice
output on the console?

Ciao,
Tobias
Comment 2 Mathias D 2010-06-20 15:34:57 UTC
for now the deamon runs and search, even after i delete my ~/.kde/share/apps/nepomuk folder. but I cant search for anything. (that works after I delete my whole .kde folder what I would not do again. After that all works fine, since I upgrade to the current (4.4.4) version from the kubuntu kde ppa.

The output is now:

method QDBusObjectPath org.kde.nepomuk.QueryService.query(QString query)
method QDBusVariant org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Get(QString interface_name, QString property_name)
method QVariantMap org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.GetAll(QString interface_name)
method void org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Set(QString interface_name, QString property_name, QDBusVariant value)
method QString org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable.Introspect()

Search seems to work with a "clean" userprofile.
Comment 3 Tobias Koenig 2010-08-02 21:03:58 UTC
Hej Mathias,

can you update to KDE 4.4.5, please?
There have been a couple of startup-code related issues been fixed, which should effect your problem as well.
I'll close the bug for now, since I can't reproduce it here anymore, feel free to reopen if you can reproduce with 4.4.5.

Ciao,
Tobias
