Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) Compiler: gcc 4.4.3 Gentoo 4.4.3 p1.0 OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages When I try to view my "amarok" folder in KMail, it will hang after about 1350-1400 messages (... messages of ... in total processed). All the messages in that folder are unread. It does not matter whether the message list is in the new, fancy style, or the old traditional one. I marked all emails in that folder \Seen using Horde. Now KMail can view that folder with all message-groups closed. I can even rightclick on a group and select "open all groups", and kmail will not hang, even when scrolling over all messages.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
