Description Gary Tang / Dolphinaura 2010-04-04 19:56:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When an OpenPGP key is selected for signing in Kmail, the openpgp key is added correctly. However, whenever a messaage requires signing, kmail does not ask for the passphrase through pinentry and just simply says "signing failed. bad passphrase". It is supposed to ask for the password at the time of signing through pinentry.

I've found exactly the same problem in Debian testing (Squeeze)

kmail 1.13.5 on Debian-amd64 (KDE 4.4.5)

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
