Description allan 2010-04-04 12:01:05 UTC
Version: 3.97 (using KDE 4.3.5)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

When entered from Ledger View, the price of a new investment transaction is not added to the Prices List.

When a new investment transaction is imported via QIF, the price is correctly recorded.

This also applies to Version 1.03.

I can confirm this bug. I always wondered why the price is not updated when I buy new shares, since you have to enter a date and a price...

But since I have very little investments, it is no problem for me.

I did not try the QIF import since I don't use his and hence have now idea how to use it. ;)

My KMyMoney is at Version 3.96.1 with KDE at 4.4.2.

Unless I'm mistaken, this has always been the case with investment transactions.

Or does 1.x enter the prices automatically?

When the qifimporter rework was done, one of the issues I addressed was correct recording of prices. I did think that this functionality may have escaped, but now I'm having second thoughts.

As qif import does pick up prices correctly, it may be, and probably is, that that is because of my patches, and that manually entered transactions have never been correctly recorded. If that appears to be the case, it may be it should be on the wish-list, rather than the bug list.

v1.x seems to work the same way.
