Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

I have Skype and the kopete skype plugin installed. When "now playing" module in kopete is activated (it sets my status message to the current song) and the song changes in amarok, kopete starts skype.

It seems that kopete tries to update the status message on skype even if it is not running and therefore starts it.

Does this happen even if Kopete's Skype Account settings have "Launch" set to "never"?

Sorry for the late response... I don't use Kopete/Skype anymore, so I can't check this. As this bug report is pretty old, I think we could just close it.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
