Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

Especially for beginners, the tools to set up the identity and mail-accounts are not always clear and so a wizard for the first configuration like in Thunderbird would also be very handy in Kmail or even better because for example the feature to test the servers encryption capabilities.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
