Description Kumaran Santhanam 2010-04-02 19:17:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

1. Right-click a resource (i.e. VCF in network remote file)
2. Open the properties dialog
3. Click the cancel button

The resource disappears and leaves the Akonadi resources in a bad state. Currently it is only possible to edit the resources through the Akonadi configuration system and not through Kontact.

One possible quick fix would be to disable the properties dialog and provide a message to the user that all resources must be configured centrally through Akonadi.

Please reference bug 233078 for discussion on why this should be considered a
regression and not a new feature request.

Hej,

I can't reproduce this here with a vanilla installation from the
KDE 4.4 SVN branch. Neither the vCard resource nor any other resource
disappears when canceling the configuration dialog.

Ciao,
Tobias

Thanks for looking into this. I deleted all of my addressbook resources and manually re-added them through the Akonadi configuration panel. It now works as you describe. This may have been a 4.3 -> 4.4 automatic migration issue. I'll repost here if I encounter the problem again.
