Version:           1.3.0 (rev.: 1109183) (using 4.4.1 (KDE 4.4.1), 4.4.1-6.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.30.10-105.2.23.fc11.i686.PAE

In tree numbers are displayed before letters. In thumb pane the the letters are before the numbers. E.g.:
In tree:
test
  1test
  2test
  test1
  test2

In panel when clicking on "test" album:
test1
test2
1test
2test

Hmm I can not confirm this, your setup gives me the following order in tree view and icon view:

test1
test2
1test
2test

Oh I just realized you are using Windows. In this case I can not be sure if the behavior is equal to Linux...

No, I'm using Linux. I will check if it still occurs with some new update

Doesn't occure anymore with 1.6.0 (rev.: 1188281)
