Version: (using KDE 4.4.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages KNetworkManager sucessfully connected to wireless or ethernet networks, but Network Manager plasmoid not show any wired or wireless connections.
Created attachment 42336 [details] KNetworkManager tray menu screenshot Screenshot shows wireless network is available and connected.
Created attachment 42337 [details] Network Manager Plasmoid Wireless networks selected, but list of wireless networks is empty.
Did you loaded the kded module? You have to do it manualy for now. Type in console: kquitapp knetworkmanager qdbus org.kde.kded /kded loadModule networkmanagement
> Did you loaded the kded module? No. This module shoud loaded automatically in KDE 4.4.2 when this plasmoid start? > Type in console: > kquitapp knetworkmanager > qdbus org.kde.kded /kded loadModule networkmanagement Yes, it's help to see connections list in plasmoid, but wired list include saved wireless networks and network named "No such interface 'org.kde.networkmana...". Looks like another bug.
No - it isn't loaded automatically with network management plasmoid, although it differs between distributions. The 'Connections' list shows all your saved connections + all available wireless networks when 'Show more' is clicked, I think.
> No - it isn't loaded automatically with network management plasmoid, although it differs between distributions. There is any chance to give this information to end user or make possible to automatic start this module if plasmoid launched? Even user don't know about loading kded - they can't use this plasmoid, right? > The 'Connections' list shows all your saved connections + all available wireless networks when 'Show more' is clicked, I think. But, you know, by user side list of wired networks must include only wired networks, or this list must be renamed to "All networks".
The plasmoid is disabled because it was in pretty bad shape and buggy. It is in quite usable and stable state now. NetworkManager allows only one client to manage it's connections so it was this plasmoid or KNetworkManager tray application. I can't replicate your problem with lists showing wrong. Are you using plasmoid from svn?

Here you mean this bug title or showing wireless connections in the wired connections list? > Are you using plasmoid from svn? Np, 4.4.2 from Ubuntu Lucid repo.

Yes, I mean kded networkmanagement module. > > I can't replicate your problem with lists showing wrong. > Here you mean this bug title or showing wireless connections in the wired > connections list? Showing wireless connections in the wired list - it seems that it has been fixed in recently - only wired connections are listed in wired section.
> it seems that it has been fixed in recently Ok, I check it in next builds.

This seems fixed. Reopen if you think this bug is still valid.
