Version: (using KDE 4.4.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs I use my system in Czech. I needed to know how a certain thing in systemsettings is named in English. So I set its Primary language to American English, with no fallback language. It told me that "The language for this application has been changed. The change will take effect the next time the application is started." OK, I have quit systemsettings and started it again. However, the names of modules are still in Czech (only the application menu and the individual settings are in English). For example, hovering mouse over first item, I get a tooltip like: Vzhled a chování Contains 4 items Chování oken Oznamování Pracovní plocha Vzhled
System Settings just reads using KService... The Sycoca probably only has the current system language in it. @David: reassign this to KDELibs?
Reassigning to kdelibs
I'm trying to activate the KMail handbook, but it opens in Spanish. I've tried to "change the application language" to American English with no fallback language, but even after restarting it, still shows up in Spanish. Menus are in English, but content is in Spanish.

Dear Bug Submitter, This is a reminder that this bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component. Greetings Christoph Cullmann
