Version: 1.0-svn3 (using 4.4.1 (KDE 4.4.1), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-20-generic It starts showing the channel by default but after selecting another one, nothing happens. Command line shows: kaffeine(7152) DvbDevice::frontendEvent: tuning failed demux_wavpack: (open_wv_file:127) open_wv_file: non-seekable inputs aren't supported yet. kaffeine(7152) DvbDevice::frontendEvent: tuning failed demux_wavpack: (open_wv_file:127) open_wv_file: non-seekable inputs aren't supported yet.
Just to confirm that I have the same symptoms with Hauppauge HVR3000. Kubuntu 9.10, Kaffeine 1.0-svn3, x86_32, 2.6.31-20-generic, Conexant CX22702 DVB-T (Downgrading to 0.8.7-1 fixes the problem to the extent that I can change channels on the second attempt - the first attempt times out. Kaffeine worked well on this hardware in Kubuntu 9.04.)
Perhaps this bug is related: HVR-1300 HVR-3000 HVR-4000 broken in kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/mythbuntu/+bug/439163
It's the same on my system: Kubuntu 10.04 Hauppauge 1300 Additionally, when i click the close button after a chanel change and kaffeine hangs, it needs some amount of time and crashes finally. Kernel: Linux chopin 2.6.32-24-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Thu Aug 19 01:38:40 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux Kaffeine: Version 1.0-svn3 Under KDE 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open.
