What I was doing when the application crashed:
Extract an archive using Ark (right-click, Extract Archive Here)
- wait for the notification that it has completed extraction
Right-click blinking icon on Fancy Tasks applet
- Crash occurs

The crash is directly related to the Fancy Tasks widget. If recompiling/updating it doesn't solve the issue you need to report this to its author (in the kde-look.org page)
