Version: kde 4.3.2 (using KDE 4.3.2) Compiler: Sorry I don't know OS: Linux Installed from: I Don't Know The following is an attempt to trace. I tried to get debugging installed that would help. In this case, I entered lib/libkhtml and libQtCore in both KpackageKit and Syaptic Package Manager looking for debugging applications without success. I also attempted including the .so.5 and the .so.4 respectively, but then nothing came up. Otherwise I got applications for installation. The reason I included shockwave is because it was mentioned somewhere when I was trying to fix this problem. Karmic is updated current. I will wait to hear from you before I attempt to upgrade to the latest kde. I am somewhat inexperienced. Thanks. Hope this is useful. Recently, each time I tried to open anything on the Internet, I would get a request to install flash and was sent to an adobe site. Kubuntu Karmic RC KDE 4.3.2
Please install the "kdelibs5-dbg" and "libqt4-dbg"; try to reproduce the bug and paste here a new backtrace. - Is the crash always reproducible for you ? Regards
I installed kdelibs5-dbg and libqt4-dbg before sending the last report. Occasionally utube or a network tv site will work, however mostly I get a request for the flash plugin, which is already installed as confirmed when I attempt to install the Plugin. I am sorry, I am having trouble duplicating the problem. Usually when I attempt to play flash, it says I need to download the newest version. When I try to do that, the computer says it is already installed. As a consequence, I am unable to view the file I want to view. Occasionally, When I click on a video, a crash is caused. That is what happened when the crash report was created. Too much time has lapsed for me to remember what the item I wanted to view was, so I will just have to wait for it to happen again. In any event I am unable to play any shockwave or adobe flash programs. Before I sent the bug report, I read the instructions on how to send a better report. It suggested installing debug applications for those Items with ??. There was a third item that was repaired, but I don't remember what it was now. I was relying on the printed data I sent you. I will be more careful and take detailed notes next time. I guess I will just have to wait for it to happen again. Thanks for your patience. I won't make this mistake again. I want to reiterate, one of the items was apparently fixed; the remaining two stayed the same after the debuggers was installed.
