Description Frank Steinmetzger 2010-03-13 19:57:01 UTC
Version: 1.1.0 (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

In the process of migrating to KDE4, I’m trying to switch from digikam 0.9 to 1.1. So I imported one of my old databases, but digikam 1.1 doesn’t show any of the images of the old database. The only images it does show are ones that are in the directory structure, but not included in the old database yet.

When I instead create a new digikam 1.1 database of the tree, all the images get shown. I’ve had a look at both the imported and the newly created database using sqlitebrowser, and the images table is nearly the same size on both (over 10000 entries, plus those not present in the old DB).

Steps to reproduce:
- Have a directory tree that’s been indexed by digikam 0.9
- Add some pictures to the tree without re-indexing
- Import the tree into digikam 1.1 by upgrading the existing database
- Digikam 1.1 only shows the images added after the last digikam 0.9 sync

Most probably bug #226853, a problem in 1.1 which takes effect when upgrading a 0.9 database with this release (and not any earlier release)

Not reproducible with 7.0.0 beta1.
