Description Con Kolivas 2010-03-12 22:30:45 UTC
Application that crashed: printer-applet
Version of the application: 1.3
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.33-ck1 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.4 (lenny)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Reliably crashes every time I log in. Restarting the applet will not make it work and closing it means printing never seems to work either.

 -- Backtrace:

This seems related to bug 209095, is your SIP package updated ? Regards
Comment 2 Con Kolivas 2010-03-22 12:56:10 UTC
I don't know what an SIP package is, sorry. I regularly stay up to date with the debian testing releases though.
Comment 3 ralfgesellensetter 2010-04-16 14:23:58 UTC
Vers. 4:4.3.4-2

Crash on every login to KDE. I had to apt-get remove dbg-packages, because they kept other packages from upgrading (Debian-Sid/ux).

Comment 4 Dario Andres 2010-04-17 21:01:18 UTC
From https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209095#c25

The package named "sip" (which is a helper for the Python bindings) should be at version 4.9.1+ to "fix" this crash
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2013-09-20 00:39:43 UTC
"Printer Applet" is no longer maintained and has been replaced with "Print Manager" since KDE 4.10.

If this issue still needs to be addressed in KDE 4.10 or newer, please add a comment, or report it for "Print Manager".
