Description Sébastien LOSS 2010-03-12 13:25:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

kubuntu lucid lynx 64 + kde 4.4.1

Go to google map with konqueror -> do a adress search -> try to zoom/dezoom with mouse wheel -> konqueror show a blank map (map tiles don't refresh correctly).
Work arround consist in click on zoom vertical bar (just click no slide) and after the mouse wheel way works ...?!
Googlemap UI doesn't respond very well in general with konqueror -> it is just unuseable.
Rekonq with webkit works well on googlemap. Konqueror should switch on webkit, doesn't it? Generaly it seems not deal very well with javascript. Am I wrong ?

Thanks

confirmed, the scroll doesn't refresh
However, it seems to me to be responding quite well (if you mean in terms of speed). Regarding the other stuff, konqueror will stick to khtml for quite a while longer, the javascript engine is a bit slower than that of webkit and has some problems here and there, but these will be corrected in time.

In Kubuntu 10.10 with kde 4.6.2 maps.google.de/ works very well with konqueror, I see no difference using webkit or khtml, works for me.

Please try again with an up to date kde, thanks.
