Description Frank Steinmetzger 2010-03-11 17:00:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Sometimes - but not always - the sidebar is not properly positioned in its place upon Kontact startup. It doesn't fill the whole available space horizontally, thus the items are not centered and a horizontal scrollbar appears. I cannot really determine the cause of this - it first occured to me after Kontact crashed, but it may not have to do anything with that. Screenshot follows.

ok, steps to reproduce:

- Unmaximize the window,
- Disable one or several Kontact modules, apply
- reenable them, apply

There's now an horizontal scrollbar.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

I'm unable to reproduce on 4.14.
